Q: What is Bluetooth Audio?
A: Bluetooth Audio is the ability to play music through your vehicle’s audio system using a compatible Bluetooth Device. This feature is only available on select vehicles. Please consult your vehicle's owners manual to see if your Handsfree system is equipped with the Bluetooth Audio feature.
Q: Why is my Bluetooth hard to hear through the audio speakers sometimes?
A: Some vehicles may exhibit low volume through the audio unit during usage of the bluetooth handsfree telephone system. As a result, the audio volume control must be turned to an unusually high setting to achieve normal bluetooth listening levels. When done using bluetooth, the audio system re-engages and high volumes occur on the other audio system modes including tuner, CD, or auxilliary.
The cause of the concern may be due to an improperly adjusted volume control setting on the cell phone or audio device. For best performance when using Bluetooth, first adjust the volume level on your cell phone or audio device to the highest level before distortion starts, then adjust the volume on the audio system.
Q: How many contacts can my Handsfree System hold?
A: The Handsfree internal phonebook can hold up to 32 contacts with 4 numbers per contact. For vehicles equipped with a Navigation System and have the Import Phonebook feature (visit the find a phone page to see if your vehicle and cell phone support this feature) the system can download up to 1,000 contacts and 10,000 numbers from the user's cell phone. In addition the Handsfree internal phonebook is also available with the 32 contacts and 4 numbers per contact.
